Memorable Evening at the KFV Road Show
We had an absolutely fantastic time with our dear friends and wine club members, Julie and Kostas Makrygiannis, at the KFV Road Show in the stunning Rancho Palos Verdes. The evening was filled with delightful moments, featuring wonderful guests, delectable food, and a breathtaking outdoor terrace that set the perfect backdrop for our gathering. It was truly an unforgettable experience!
Julie, a cherished friend from Shawn's days at Canon, showcased her incredible culinary talents by preparing all the food for our pairings. Her creativity truly shone through in every dish!
We kicked off our tasting experience with the refreshing 2022 Albariño, perfectly complemented by a delightful crab cake and shrimp appetizer. The flavors danced together beautifully, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening. Next, we savored the rich 2020 Estate Red Wine Blend and the 2018 Merlot, expertly paired with mouthwatering BBQ pork sliders.
The combination was nothing short of spectacular, highlighting the depth of the wines and the savory notes of the sliders. To conclude our culinary journey, we indulged in the robust 2019 Cabernet and the elegant 2019 Coalesce, paired with delectable beef kebabs and spanakopita—all lovingly prepared by Julie. Each bite was a testament to her talent and passion for food, making the evening truly memorable!
