We enjoyed two fantastic nights of wine tastings with our good friends and wine club members, Barb and Randy O'Brien.

We started with a relaxed tasting for 30 couples. Many of the guests were adult children from the parents who would join for the seated tasting on the second night.

We kicked off the night with our Sangrita cocktail. We moved on to our KFV current release wines which were expertly paired with incredible food from Augie's catering.

The line up was our Albariño, Rosé, and 2020 Red Wine Blend followed by the 2020 Cabernet. We finished with a bonus pour of our 2019 Coalesce. The evening was filled with great conversation and casual learning about the relationship and enhancement between wine and food. Many of the guests said this was their first wine tasting and appreciated learning about wine and food pairings in a casual environment.

On the second night, Randy and Barb hosted an intimate five-course tasting menu for 12 couples paired with KFV Library wines. Augie truly excelled with the perfectly matched cuisine. What a treat it was! Each wine course was expertly paired with a dish that match the aromas and flavors of each wine. We started the tasting with our Sangrita Cocktail and hors d'oeuvres. (recipe to follow) We then began the seated tasting with the Albariño, then moved on to the Rosè. We did a mini vertical comparing the 2018/2019 Merlot and then a 2018/2019 Cabernet. We finished with the 2019 Coalesce.

We truly enjoy a collaboration with our wine club members. It's a wonderful way to share Kahal wine and get direct feedback as the wine is tasted. The added bonus: new friends in new towns!
